How do you make a world-class premium luxury sedan such as the Hyundai Equus – even greater than it already is?
Good question. It's one that Lexicon's team of engineers pondered from the moment they were asked to design a sophisticated sequel to their sound system for the 2009 North American Car of the Year – the Hyundai Genesis. After all, the revolutionary 2011 Hyundai Equus is a car that gets delivered to your home for test drives; comes with a complimentary Apple iPad for leases and purchases; and even includes four massaging seatbacks to keep its drivers and passengers at the pinnacle of relaxation.
To answer the call, Lexicon set out to create a masterpiece that would give everyone on board the best seat in the house. They started by refining their Discrete LOGIC7® Surround-Sound Audio System to produce exceptional realism, clarity and musicality at every seated position. Then, equipped the plush Equus interior with 17 strategically placed speakers in the interior cabin; 7.1 channels of surround-sound; and 608 watts of power as thrilling as the massaging seats are relaxing.
Putting every passenger right in the "sweet spot," Lexicon delivered an all-encompassing listening experience that would move Equus passengers with the same emotional impact as the car’s powerful 4.6-liter, V-8, 385 horsepower engine.
But don’t take our word for it. Test-drive this concert-hall-on-wheels for yourself.

Perfectly befitting of Hyundai’s top-of-the-line luxury sedan is Lexicon’s state-of-the-art Discrete LOGIC7® Surround-Sound Audio System. Inside, 17 transducers expand the vehicle soundstage, giving each occupant the best seat in the house. Six transducers in the front channels furnish a wide soundstage in front of the listener, while center transducers work hard to enhance it in the middle of the cabin.
Since the Equus may be chauffeur-driven in many parts of the world, rear-seat passengers receive particular attention – thanks to rear-door-mounted, side-channel transducers that enrich the sonic image for a more refined aural experience. Add to that a deep, resounding bass produced by the dedicated 8-inch subwoofer – and it’s quite possible you’ll start taking the long way home.
